There are a few signs that you may be a "basic" traveler. 

First, if you tend to stick to the more popular tourist destinations, like the most visited cities or heavily trafficked beaches, and don't usually venture off the beaten path, that's a sign you may be a basic traveler. 

Second, if you prefer comfort over adventure when it comes to travel, opting for all-inclusive resorts or pre-packaged trips instead of exploring on your own, that's also a sign. 

Third, if you tend to take the same type of vacations year after year without switching it up, that could be a sign that you're a basic traveler. 

Finally, if you love taking pictures of yourself at touristy attractions, that might be a clue that you're a basic traveler!

2. Ditch the Pre-Packaged Experience – Skip the all-inclusive resorts and guided bus tours in favor of planning your own itinerary. Try public transportation, rent a bike, or simply walk through a new city to experience it like a local.

3. Embrace the Unexpected – Be open to spontaneous detours and new experiences. Say yes to an unfamiliar dish, join a community event, or stay in an unconventional accommodation like a homestay or eco-lodge.

4. Travel with Purpose – Instead of just visiting a place, engage with its culture. Take a cooking class, volunteer, or learn a few phrases in the local language to connect on a deeper level.

5. Document Differently – Rather than taking the usual tourist snapshots, challenge yourself to capture the essence of a place in a unique way. Focus on details, everyday moments, and interactions rather than just famous landmarks.
